MICHAEL JACKSON

               Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter and choreographer.  Named by many names as "king of pop", "god of pop", "jacko", he is considered one of the most important cultural figures of the 20th century.

                     

Jackson is the most acclaimed artist in the history of popular music.  He has joined the record books as the artist who has donated the most money for the welfare of children in the world.

 Since the late 1980s, Jackson has been subject to controversy and speculation due to his changing appearance, relationships, behaviors, and lifestyle.

 Jackson died in 2009 of a heart attack caused by his personal physician, Conrad Murray, overdosing on propofol. In August 2009, a Los Angeles state coroner convicted Jackson of murder, and in February 2010, Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
